You were told that drawing would be the first task which will later be developed into painting and eventually chalk
You were told that it is important to focus on presentation and to be observant.
The lesson vocab to use is Light Shade Texture and shape
You had to use pencil to make a drawing of a slice of grapefruit, looking for pattern and texture.
The ability to show light shade texture and shape is down to you concentrating on "MARK MAKING" which is how you use the pencil.
