Drama Cultural Storytelling

Your first task was to list all the stories you can remember and write those down on a poster to showcase to others in the class.

Ritual; a ceremony involving a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.

E.g A wedding  Smart Dress/cake cutting/service/exchange of rings.

Your next task was to create a tableau of a ritual for others in the class to identify.

A successful tableau is where you are absolutely still/use strong clear facial expressions/use exaggerated body language/face the audience

The tableau you created was assessed by your class mates who gave positive feedback using the "stepping stones".

Some cultures use storytelling as a ritual for coming together.

In small groups you were asked to create a ritual to bring people together for storytelling.

Questions on the board were used as a guide for your ritual.

Click on image to enlarge and see the tips for your created ritual and the levels you need to guage your work effort.

Here are two videos of some of the rituals created by your class.
